The ClickHouse (2015)

  • Modular construction for emergency or temporary housing
  • Frame structure made of GFRP pultruded profiles with built-in bolted connections
  • Walls, floor and roof made of GFRP sandwich panels, integrating all electrical, water supply and sewage systems
  • Modules (3 x 3 squared meters) can be assembled, providing a variety of architectural solutions
  • ​Developed in collaboration with ALTO Perfis Pultrudidos and Minho University within an ANI funded project

 

São Silvestre Footbridge, Ovar, Portugal (2015)

  • GFRP-SFRSCC hybrid footbridge structure, 11 m long and 2 m wide
  • Delivered and installed on site fully assembled (instalation time under 3 hours)
  • Steel fibre reinforced self-compacting concrete (SFRSCC) deck with 4 cm of thickness and no rebar reinforcement
  • I-shaped GFRP pultruded profiles (with 400 mm of height) supporting the deck
  • ​Developed in collaboration with ALTO Perfis Pultrudidos and Minho University within an ANI funded project

Footbridge of St. Mateus Park, Viseu, Portugal (2013)

  • GFRP-steel hybrid footbridge structure with a 13.3 m span and a 2.5 m wide simply supported low-rise arch
  • Two H-280 steel profiles connected to a 75 mm thick pultruded GFRP slab
  • Slab composed of 19 multicellular deck panels assembled by vertical snap-fitting (interlocks) transversely oriented to the main bridge axis
  • Composite action between deck panels and main H-girders (epoxy adhesively-bonded and fastener mechanical interface)
  • 1.5 days to install the entire bridge deck
  • Solution developed in collaboration with the Municipality of Viseu / SRU (Owner)
